The 19th-century French crucifix is a lovely example of a quality piece of jewellery and is a wonderful survivor from a bygone era. The cross in unmarked silver and mother-of-pearl depicts the body of Christ in the centre in silver along with filigree work at each corner. The crucifix is usually an icon in the Catholic religion and was once a sacred object to the previous owner. To care for the 19th-century French crucifix we suggest a very light dusting with a soft lint-free cloth occasionally.
