The antique sterling silver chatelaine compact is the work of Adie & Lovekin Ltd and is a great survivor from the era of the first world war. The compact has a silver hallmark for Birmingham 1918 and features a silver chain that attaches to a chatelaine. Inside the compact’s gilt interior, you will find a small mirror that is still intact and the hinge that enables a secure closure works well. To care for the antique sterling silver chatelaine compact we suggest a light polishing with a soft cloth as required.
