Miniature sterling silver furniture set. Lovely miniature set comprising of 1 chaise longue, 2 single chairs, an oval coffee table and a harp. The table and chairs are Birmingham assayed c1979 and made by David Hollander & Son. The harp is hallmarked 800 for Continental silver. Table measures 47mm long by 38mm wide, 30mm high & weighs 15.4gms. Each chair measures 25mm wide by 25mm deep, 55mm high at backrest, 26mm at seat and weigh 10gms. Chaise longue measures 65mm long by 20mm deep, 50mm high at backrest, 22mm high at seat and weighs 17.3gms. Harp measures 45mm high by 32mm wide at widest and weighs 10.4gms. The miniature sterling silver furniture set is an adorable collection of accurate representations of antique chairs, tables and musical instruments. The silver furniture has a hallmark for Birmingham 1979 and is the work of David Hollander & Sons, the exception to this is the tiny harp that has a continental 800 silver mark. The detail on these small items is incredible even down to the glasses and ashtray with cigarette butts and a tiny magazine. This set is a collector’s must-have, it would display well in a cabinet and would delight all observers. To care for the miniature sterling silver furniture set we suggest a very gentle polish with a lint-free cloth occasionally.
