The ornate silver plate hinge-lidded box is an interesting find and the engraving to one side states the casket is a third prize in the 1998 Falklands marathon race. The highly decorative box/casket has engraving to the top in the form of the royal crest of the United Kingdom and this alone makes it a very collectable item. The pretty silver item has a red velvet interior which is spacious and could hold a few special items of jewellery. The box/casket rests on four lion head feet adding extra interest to this unusual item. To care for the ornate silver plate hinge-lidded box simply polish it with a soft cloth when required.
