The pair of silver topped jars is in excellent condition for its age. They have an assay mark for London 1854/55 and are the work of Thomas Johnson. The antique jars have identical silver tops with a monogram in the centre. Underneath the glass jars, a cut glass sunburst pattern is evident ensuring that the jars are of good quality. To care for the pair of silver-topped jars we suggest polishing the silver tops and washing the glass jars as required.
