Vintage Continental inkwell and pin tray. A rare and unusual piece in the form of a stork with a frogs leg in its beak as the frog tries to escape through the tray. The storks back feathers lift up to reveal the inkwell with the ‘pond’ acting as the pen tray. Stork and frog are made of brass and the tray is enamel with some wear.
The vintage Continental inkwell & pen tray is metal and features the figure of a stork, acting as the inkwell when you lift the feathers. The comical scene continues with the stork trying to hold on to the leg of a frog that has been using the ‘pond'(pen holder) for a dip. The unusual item would display well on a desk and would make a great gift idea. To care for the vintage Continental inkwell & pen tray, we suggest polishing it with a soft cloth when required.
