Victorian silver canoe earrings. Very unusual pair of canoe earrings with oar across the top of canoe. One canoe is silver coloured whilst other has slight golden hue and maybe gilded to distinguish 2 sides (Oxford V Cambridge perhaps?) Antique kitemark hallmark to the back of each canoe c1880. (This year being significant in that it is the only time in the history of the boat race that it was postponed for 2 days due to thick fog) Drop length approximately 45mm with canoe measuring approximately 30mm. Earrings weight 2.8gms. Box included.
